How to login my Linux VM?

Please RDP to your Windows 2012 VM; download a terminal emulator, for example: PuTTY; use PuTTY to logon your Linux VM via its name. To find the Linux VM assigned to you, please check here

The logon ID is 'root'.

What file system I can use in Linux VM?

  1. Please install your application & SAP files under '/data', which is running on shared SATA hard drive.
  2. For better performance, Linux OS was installed on shared SSD hard drive with limited space; so please do NOT install your application / SAP under "/".
  3. Mount point "/mnt/share" connects to FILE SHARE server's E: drive.
  4. Mount point "/mnt/cdrom" connects to virtual CD/DVD drive which mounts Linux ISO file.

Hi Ryan/Adam,

I try to login Linux but looks like it can't recognize the initial password. Can you please help?
Also, can you pls provide the command to the mounting? I can google the mount command but not quite sure about which attribute to use, it will be much help if you can provide a example command line.

3.Mount point "/mnt/share" connects to FILE SHARE server's E: drive.
4.Mount point "/mnt/cdrom" connects to virtual CD/DVD drive which mounts Linux ISO file.

login as: root

The root password should be the project Shark default password. If that was not working someone must have login to your vm and changed it

For the mount point, please check /etc/fstab
