Now copy the latest kernel compressed .SAR file from file share to your local temp drive, for example, C:\temp

Extract the .SAR file by the SAPCAR. Please move your SAPCAR file into the parent directory of your .SAR file. Otherwise during the extract you'll not be ablt to overwrite the SAPCAR

Now you can start SAP. Please note that you may want to restart all the SAP services. Since some of these services have to call your updated kernel binaries

928 doesn't look right. I think it could be the extract process interrupted in the middle. If you can provide a screenshot that'll be great.

For the folder NTAMD64, normally it's in the shared folder \Shark2xx\sapmnt\TR1\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64

I did a retry, but still same, only 928 files extracted. Here is the steps I did: 1). copy the win745 kernel patch file to my temp folder 2)move sapcar file to parent folder of .sar files 3). run command: ../SAPCAR.exe -xvf '*.SAR' 4). under the patch extracted folder, i can't see anyNTAMD64 folder. what do you mean, this folder is under shared folder? i thought this folder will generated after extract, correct? below is the screenshot, please help, thanks.

It should show 983 files extracted. After copy into NTAMD64. Kernel is upgraded successfully from 742 to 745.
