After you release a transport from EHP7 TR1, you can help yourself to move into EHP8 DR1, by running STMS in DR1

One of the tasks we would like to achieved is to copy all the users with their credentials from EHP7 to EHP8. Since these two systems versions of SAP are completely different so the normal transport cannot go. We'll have to find other method to complete the transport disregarding the version, which is, the traditional tp command line, with option "U012"

Even thought it contains warnings, but the users have been moved to EHP8 with their passwords. I have been able to login now.

Local released transports, the objects within it all stored in the $TMP which are not in any transport domain. If you release them, there will be no way to adjust the transport path. However you can create a new transport involving all the objects. Please refer to the following procedures for local released transports
